Gas und Waerme-Institut Essen e.V. (GWI) is a research institute for power engineering.
For over 80 years the GWI designed future energy issues with focuses on natural gas and renewable gas sources such as biogas and hydrogen.
With the key areas of research and development, test laboratory as well as consulting and training, the GWI is a driver of innovation and is working on the sustainability of the energy sector.
The research topics deal with security of supply and gas application technologies for domestic, commercial and industrial purposes. For GWI, the energy transition in Germany centers primarily energy efficiency considerations and energy storage technologies.

Westnetz GmbH
