NRW-Singapore Open Innovation Call

The state of North Rhine-Westphalia and Singapore, the innovation center of the ASEAN region, are intensifying their cooperation and bringing the strengths of both business locations closer together.

NRW.Global Business and Singapore's economic development agency Enterprise Singapore are launching an "Open Innovation Call" for startups and SMEs together with partners this year. The project is part of a "Joint Workplan Agreement" that was concluded in April 2023.

Singapore is considered one of North Rhine-Westphalia's most important economic partners in the ASEAN countries - not only as an important logistics hub in global world trade, but also as a high-tech innovation driver. Singapore's dynamic corporate and research landscape offers a strong platform for cooperation for North Rhine-Westphalian companies.

NRW companies benefit from the know-how of Singaporean startups

Are you looking for an innovative solution to a technological challenge in your company? Then use the potential of international cooperation and place an "Innovation Call" for Singaporean startups, which will provide you with individual solution proposals for your problem.

Simply submit a description of your requirements to us using the form provided below. Your problem statement can include business processes, business models or a specific technology requirement for your services and/or products. The focus is on sectors such as:

  • Advanced manufacturing
  • Renewable energies
  • Greentech
  • ICT/digitalization

After a review, Enterprise Singapore will publish your problem statement on the Open Innovation Network platform in Q1 2025, and Singaporean startups will be invited to submit innovative solutions for your company.

Your advantages:

  • Tap into Singapore's startup ecosystem for a bigger pool of ideas
  • Cp-develop faster solutions to meet your market requirements
  • Increase the innovative power of your company with international cooperation

Unfortunately, the deadline for submitting the “Problem Statements” has already passed. The next step will be to publish the call at Enterprise Singapore to start matching with Singaporean startups.
